What is Viniyoga?
Viniyoga is a Sanskrit term that appears in the Yoga-Sutra of Patanjali and is translated as "application." The application of yoga is done gradually and adapts to the practitioner, and not the other way around.
Yoga is a path of transformation through the union of body, mind and spirit. At EVI, the Viniyoga approach places attention on the needs and characteristics of each person.

A tradition of transmission
T. Krishnamacharya dedicated his life to the study, practice and teaching of yoga. His son and student, T.K.V. Desikachar continued this work and developed a person-centered approach to practice.
The teachings reached Europe through Claude Maréchal and to Dénia, Alicante, through Cristina Sáez de Inestrillas, Carmen Sánchez's teacher.

Breathing, movement and attention
The EVI proposal pays attention to the relationship between breathing and movement and the rhythm of each person. Practice, listening and observation occupy a central place in teaching.
